Tomorrowland for First Timers: The Ultimate Guide (2026)
I still remember my first Tomorrowland vividly. It was 2015, and the theme was The Secret Kingdom of Melodia. The mainstage was a magnificent organ-like castle, with its giant doors dramatically opening and closing above the DJ booth as 180,000 people danced beneath it across the weekend. My three friends and I hired a car at Amsterdam airport and drove 2 hours down to Belgium, walked up to the entrance of Dreamville and had absolutely no idea what we were in for. We had no tents, no camping gear, and no clue about how to prepare, what to bring, or how anything worked. Despite being completely unprepared, it was still one of the greatest weekends of my life – and has kept me coming back to Tomorrowland every year since.
If you’re planning your first Tomorrowland and have questions, you’re not alone. Every year, millions of people compete for tickets to the world’s biggest electronic music festival, but only a fraction actually make it. If you’ve managed to secure your spot (or you’re trying to figure out how to get Tomorrowland tickets), congratulations — you’re about to experience something truly legendary.
But knowing how to prepare for Tomorrowland is just as important as getting tickets. Should you stay in Dreamville camping or book a hotel? What should you pack for Tomorrowland Belgium’s unpredictable July weather? How does the Pearl cashless system work? And what are those insider Tomorrowland tips that separate seasoned festival-goers from overwhelmed first-timers standing in the wrong line at 11PM?
Your first time at Tomorrowland can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help. After attending Tomorrowland for 10 consecutive years – camping in Magnificent Greens, Easy Tents, and Montagoe – we’ve learned every trick, mistake, and weekend-changing strategy. We’ve survived torrential Belgian rain and crazy heatwaves, navigated the notorious ticket sales, scored prime camping spots, and made lifelong friends from countries all over the world.
This isn’t just another generic Tomorrowland guide. This is everything we wish someone had told us before our first Tomorrowland over 10 years ago – the insider knowledge that only comes from a decade of mistakes, discoveries, and unforgettable experiences at the festival that sets the global standard for electronic music events.
No matter if you’re stressing about the Tomorrowland ticket sale, confused about Dreamville accommodation options, wondering what to bring to Tomorrowland, or simply don’t know where to start with planning, this complete first-timer’s guide has you covered. From securing tickets to departure day, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to make your first Tomorrowland 2026 absolutely unforgettable.

Getting Tickets to Tomorrowland
For Tomorrowland first timer, understanding the ticket system is important in order to secure your tickets. Getting Tomorrowland tickets is notoriously difficult, with millions competing for limited spots. Here’s what you need to know:
Pre-Registration (Mid-December)
You MUST pre-register to access ticket sales. Create a free Tomorrowland account and register when pre-registration opens (typically mid-December). Be online exactly when it starts for the best chance.
Best Ways to Get Tickets
Global Journey (Recommended Method) – Your best bet for guaranteed tickets. Includes transport (train, plane, or bus) from cities worldwide plus accommodation. Tickets are more expensive but easier to secure than regular tickets. The Global Journey sale typically happens in mid to late January.
NFT Sale – If you own all 3 Tomorrowland NFTs, you get exclusive early access in early December. Costs €3000-4000 for the NFTs alone, plus ticket costs. As of 2026, you can only buy 2 tickets with this method. While it is the best method to guarantee tickets, it is also the most expensive as you must have or purchase the NFTs.
Worldwide Sale – The hardest tickets to get. Sells out in seconds and essentially a lottery. Don’t rely on this as your only option.
Key Dates to Remember
- Pre-registration: Mid-December
- Global Journey Sale: Mid-late January
- Worldwide Sale: Late January/Early February
- Pro tip: Use Tomorrowland’s Global Journey simulator a few weeks before the sale to plan your options
If Tickets Sell Out
- Join the official Tomorrowland tickets waiting list (this only becomes active after tickets sell out)
- Use official travel partners listed on Tomorrowland website
- Consider ticket resale sites like Viagogo (has buyer protection)
Important: Never buy from unofficial sources without guarantees. Like any event, scams are common.

Our #1 Tip: Stay in Dreamville
The best tip we can give you is to camp in Dreamville rather than staying at a hotel. This is one of the most important decisions you’ll make when heading to Tomorrowland. For Tomorrowland first timers it gives the full experience and the best vibes.
6 Reasons Why Dreamville Is Best
Proximity to the Festival – You’re walking distance from the festival. No trains, shuttles, or taxis needed. While hotel guests spend 2-3 hours per day commuting (6-9 hours total over the weekend), you walk 15-30 minutes from your tent.
The Gathering – Exclusive Thursday night pre-party with world-class DJs like Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, and Tiësto. This is essentially a 4th festival day that hotel guests cannot access. Hotel guests get “Invite Brussels” instead, but it doesn’t quite compare.
The Full Experience – Wake up at Tomorrowland, live at Tomorrowland, breathe Tomorrowland. The 24/7 immersion is what makes this festival legendary.
No Last Train or Bus – When the festival ends at 1 AM, you’re back at your bed before 2:00AM – sometimes within 15-20 minutes depending on your tent location. Hotel guests might not get back until 2:30-4:30 AM after catching shuttles or trains.
Meet the World – The communal atmosphere means making friends from 100+ countries. These connections are unforgettable. The vibe in Magnificent Greens in unmatched.
Complete City – Dreamville has marketplace, restaurants, bars, gym, tennis courts, hair salon, tattoo parlor, BBQ areas, and daily entertainment.
Camping vs Hotels: The Reality
Hotels Are Better For:
- Sleep quality (though you arrive back at 2:30-4:30 AM)
- Guaranteed comfort regardless of weather
- Private bathroom with 24/7 hot shower
- Exploring Brussels/Antwerp
- The monday after the festival where you can extend your hotel stay and sleep in to recover all that energy.
Dreamville Camping Is Better For:
- The complete Tomorrowland experience
- Saving travel time (6-9 hours over the weekend)
- The Gathering access
- Making friends and community
- Cost (can be cheaper, especially lower tiers of Dreamville)
- No transport stress
Bottom line: The atmosphere, experience are better in Dreamville and the journeys to and from the festival are much quicker and easier. Do Dreamville at least once, especially for your first time. You can always do hotels later, but your first Tomorrowland should be the full experience.

Dreamville – Tomorrowland’s Camping City
Dreamville is Tomorrowland’s camping city. Divided into three main sections, understanding it is crucial for buying tickets and navigating the festival experience.
The Three Main Areas of Dreamville
Magnificent Greens – Regular camping area where you bring your own tent or buy one on-site. Largest area with the best party atmosphere. Has The Gathering stage, marketplace, and most facilities.
Easy Tents – Pre-setup Tomorrowland tents waiting for you. Separate area from Magnificent Greens but closer to the festival entrance.
Montagoe – Luxury glamping with real beds, lockable accommodations, and premium amenities including a private pool and hot tubs.
Dreamville Access Rules
This is important to know, especially is you have friends attending Tomorrowland –you can only access certain areas based on your accommodation:
- Everybody in Dreamville, regardless of tent type, can access Dreamville’s Marketplace and The Gathering
- Magnificent Greens (basic camping) guests can ONLY access Magnificent Greens
- Easy Tent guests can access Easy Tents AND Magnificent Greens
- Montagoe guests can access Montagoe AND Magnificent Greens
- Easy Tent guests CANNOT access Montagoe
- Montagoe guests CANNOT access Easy Tent
What this means: If your friends are in Easy Tent and you’re in Montagoe, you cannot visit each other’s tents. You can meet out the front of each area, or inside Magnificent Greens, Dreamville’s Marketplace area with food and shops, or at The Gathering Stage. Plan accordingly when booking!
Accommodation Options Quick Guide
Budget (€400-600): Magnificent Greens – Bring your own tent or buy tent package. Best atmosphere, most social, but can get loud at night. 30-45 min walk to festival.
Best Value (€600-900): Easy Tent, Spectacular Easy Tent or Supreme Easy Tents – Everything pre-setup, no camping gear needed. Spectacular adds wooden floor with artificial turf (stays clean if it rains and not muddy!), power outlets, and included locker. 15-30 min walk to festival.
Comfort (€1000-1500): Montagoe options like Relax Room or DreamLodge – Real beds, lockable tents, free showers, swimming pool and hot tubs. 15-30 min walk to festival.
Luxury (€1500-3000+): Premium Montagoe like Cabana, Ensuite, or Marivela – Private bathrooms, air conditioning, hotel-quality amenities.

Arrival & Camping Strategy
Timing Is Everything
Thursday Arrival – Dreamville officially opens Thursday at 11:00 AM, though we’ve seen it open as early as 10:00 AM some years. This is your check-in day. This early opening was especially present in 2025 (for the infamous Tomorrowland mainstage fire before Weekend 1) and in 2019 (where temperatures peaked at 42°C/108°F for the Thursday and Friday of Weekend 2)
For Magnificent Greens: Arrive as early as possible on Thursday and be near the front of the entrance line when gates open. The earlier you arrive and the closer to the front of the line you are, the better camping spots you’ll likely get. This is crucial because camping zones are opened gradually – staff hold ropes and periodically move them out to give campers more space to set up. Once an area is full, they open the next zone. For example, purple district is often opened last. They might only move the rope 10m-20m at a time, let everybody get a spot, and continue moving.
The Best Camping Spots: In Magnificent Greens, the best locations are near Entrance 1 in the Orange District. This area is closer to the actual festival entrance, meaning less walking multiple times per day (saving you 10-20 minutes each way). It can also be closer to parking at Entrance 1 if you’re driving. Setting up here can save you hours of walking over the weekend.
For Easy Tent: Tents are pre-assigned as you arrive. Early arrival still helps you get assigned closer spots to the entrance. Tents at the back equals more walking. If you and your friends have the same tent types (i.e if you all have Spectacular Easy Tents) but arrive at different times, it is possible to camp together if you are early enough. The first people to check in should talk to the check-in staff to let them know you want to camp with your friends. You will need to show them photos of passports of everyone in the group, including those who have not arrived yet. By doing this, you can reserve the tents next to you for your friends.
For Montagoe: Location is less critical as the entire area is relatively close to the festival. Again, for Montagoe is it possible to camp next to your friends if they arrive late and have the same type of accommodation (e.g. if everyone in your group has Cabanas) – just have photos or copies of their passports at check-in so the staff can assign those tents to your friends who have not yet arrived.
Transportation to Dreamville
By Train: Nearest station is Boom. Free shuttle buses run from Boom station to Dreamville entrance. If getting the train from Brussels, you must change at Antwerp first and then get a train to Boom (there is no direct train from Brussels).
By Car: Parking vouchers sold 1-2 months before festival. There are separate parking lots for Dreamville campers and day ticket/non-dreamville holders.
Dreamville Parking Details:
- There are two Dreamville parking lots: one near Entrance 1, another near Entrance 2
- For Dreamville Entrance 1 Parking Lot: Use if you’re in Montagoe, Easy Tents, Camp2Camp, Friendship Garden, or Orange District of Magnificent Greens
- For Dreamville Entrance 2 Parking: Lot Use if you’re camping in the rest of Magnificent Greens area
- While it is possible to park in either parking lot, by using your closer parking lot you will save yourself a lot of walking.
- Parking is NOT close to your tent – it’s not possible to drive to camping areas to drop off your gear
- You must walk with everything from the parking lots to your tent
- IMPORTANT: No parking pass-outs! Once you arrive and park, you must stay to secure your spot. If you leave the parking lot to drive somewhere, you’ll have to pay to park again when you return (if space is even available). It is not recommended to leave the parking lot once you have parked.
Hot tip: Bring a wagon or rolling bag! The walk from parking to your tent can be far, especially with all your camping gear. This is one of the most physically demanding parts of Tomorrowland if you’re driving. Many seasoned Tomorrowland attendees bring wagons to haul all their camping gear and luggage from their cars.
What You Can Bring
Important: There are different rules for Dreamville camping areas versus the Tomorrowland festival grounds. Dreamville is more relaxed, while the festival has stricter policies.
Into Dreamville Camping Areas
Alcohol Rules
Officially, the Tomorrowland website lists a limit on alcohol. In reality, this limit has never been enforced in my 10 years of attending Tomorrowland. You can basically bring as much alcohol as you want into Dreamville.
CRITICAL RULE – NO GLASS:
There is one rule: absolutely zero glass bottles allowed. If you buy spirits in glass bottles, pour them into plastic bottles before entering the Dreamville gates. Plastic bottles are fine, no matter how much alcohol is inside them.
Your bags will be searched upon entering Dreamville by security.
A good strategy is to stock up at supermarkets before arriving at Dreamville, or walk out to the Carrefour supermarket in Rumst after you arrive. You’ll save massive amounts of money versus buying drinks in the festival
Other Items Allowed in Dreamville:
- Food and drinks (no glass)
- Camping gear
- Clothing and personal items
- Decorations for your tent
- Flags and banners
- Umbrellas (allowed in Dreamville but NOT in festival)
Not Allowed in Dreamville:
- Glass containers of any kind
- Weapons
Into Tomorrowland Festival Grounds
The festival itself has much stricter rules than Dreamville. Here’s what’s allowed and what’s not:
NOT Allowed in Festival:
- No food or drinks
- No umbrellas
- No totems or flag poles
- No professional camera equipment
- No large bags (small backpacks are fine)
Allowed in Festival:
- Regular digital cameras and phones for photos/videos (Tomorrowland encourages sharing on social media!)
- Empty reusable water bottles (fill at water stations inside)
- Small personal bags
- Normal personal items
Free Items Available Inside Festival:
- Earplugs and sunscreen at information points and first aid stations
- Condoms and menstrual products at We Care A Lot / First Aid stands
- Water at refill stations throughout the grounds
- Rain ponchos available for purchase at reasonable prices
Storage Options: Lockers are available inside the festival to store rain gear, extra layers, or belongings during the day. However, we recommend keeping valuables in your Dreamville locker or leaving them at your accommodation rather than bringing them into the festival.
Water Bottles and Hydration Packs
In previous years, empty water bottles and hydration packs/camelbaks were allowed. In 2024 and especially 2025, this seemed to change somewhat. As there is security scanning bags and everyone at the entrances, many people (including myself) could not bring water bottles and hydration packs inside the festival.
However there were many people that also got let in with these. It seems rules may have changed slightly, but it is luck of the draw with the security guard search at the entrance. If you’re lucky you won’t get stopped. If you do, you could try another entrance line, but otherwise you will have to dispose of anything not allowed at the gates (or if you’re staying in dreamville you could take it back to your tent).
Age Requirements
You must be 18 years old to enter Tomorrowland. The policy allows anyone born in 2008 or earlier (meaning anyone turning 18 during 2026 can attend). This is strictly enforced when buying tickets or checking in at Easy Tents or Montagoe – anyone born in 2009 or later will be denied entry, even with adult supervision. However it should be noted that there are no ID checks at the festival. Provided you have your valid wristband, you can enter the festival.
Essential Packing List
Most first-timers either overpack random items they’ll never use or forget the absolute essentials that would have saved their festival experience. We’ve seen people arrive with three costume changes per day but no rain gear (rookie mistake in Belgium!), or camp neighbors who brought speakers but forgot earplugs for sleeping.
After a decade of trial and error—including one particularly muddy year where proper boots would have been life-changing—we’ve perfected the ultimate Tomorrowland packing list. This isn’t just a generic checklist; it’s the exact gear that makes the difference between surviving and thriving at Tomorrowland.
Some of these items might seem obvious. Others will seem excessive until you’re shivering at 3 AM in July or watching your tent leak in the rain. Trust us on this: Belgium weather is wildly unpredictable, Dreamville nights are surprisingly cold, and you’ll need triple the socks you think you need.
Here’s what actually matters in your suitcase. Many of these items relate to the Dreamville camping area, but can still be needed in the Tomorrowland festival.
Weather Gear
Belgium weather is notoriously unpredictable, even in July. You MUST pack for all conditions:
- Warm layers – Jackets, hoodies, sweatpants for sleeping (nights can get surprisingly chilly, especially if the weather isn’t great!)
- Rain gear – Waterproof jacket and pants (umbrellas allowed in Dreamville but NOT in festival)
- Multiple shoes – Boots for mud, sneakers for festival, flip-flops for showers
- Way more socks than you think – Pack triple what seems reasonable
Dreamville Camping Essentials
For Magnificent Greens:
- Tent (or buy on-site at camping store)
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Air mattress or sleeping pad
- Tent stakes and extra rope (Belgium wind!)
- Tarp or rain cover
For Everyone:
- EARPLUGS – Absolutely essential, especially in Magnificent Greens where people party all night
- Eye mask for sleep
- Power banks
- Charging cables
- Waterproof phone or phone case
Comfort Items
- Party tent/gazebo – Highly recommended! Provides shade and rain shelter (buy at camping store in Dreamville)
- Fan – Battery-powered if no power, electric if in Spectacular Easy Tent or above
- Camping chairs (unless included in your package)
- Small folding table
- Deck of cards or games
Hygiene & Health
- Shower flip-flops – NON-NEGOTIABLE (showers get gross)
- Quick-dry microfiber towel
- Wet wipes (lifesaver when showers are closed)
- Hand sanitizer
- Sunscreen and after-sun
- Basic first aid kit
- Any prescription medications
- Sleeping pills – Many people use these in Magnificent Greens due to noise
Miscellaneous
- Flag or banner – Mark your tent! Dreamville is huge and tents look similar
- Rolling bag or wagon for transport
- Zip ties and duct tape (fixes everything)
- Trash bags
- Small cooler (no ice available inside the festival but keeps things cool-ish)
- Ice can be bought outside Dreamville and brought inside. Many locals sell ice and drinks from the front of their homes during Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland Currency: Pearls
Tomorrowland operates on a cashless system using “pearls” loaded onto your wristband.
How It Works
- Load money onto your Tomorrowland bracelet before or during festival
- Use bracelet to pay for everything by tapping
- No cash or cards needed inside
Exchange Rate: 1 pearl = €1.82-1.87 (increases slightly each year)
Options for Loading Pearls
- Online (recommended) – Top up from anywhere, skip lines
- Cash/card at kiosks in Dreamville and festival
- ATMs throughout Dreamville
What You’ll Need Pearls For
- All food and drinks (unless you bring your own to Dreamville)
- Hot showers (3.5 pearls in Magnificent Greens, 2 pearls in Easy Tents, free in Montagoe)
- Merchandise
- Services (hair salon, massage, tattoo)
- Lockers (if not included)
- Power bank rental
Budget Estimate
Plan for €100-150 per day for food, drinks, and incidentals if buying everything on-site. You can reduce this significantly by bringing your own alcohol and food to Dreamville.
Pro tip: Unused pearls can be refunded after the festival if you’ve loaded via credit card at least once.
Food & Drink Strategies
Save Money: Stock Up First
Before Entering Dreamville:
- Buy alcohol (in plastic bottles!) at regular supermarket
- Get snacks, breakfast items, and easy meals
- Purchase cooler and drinks
Best Supermarket: Walk to the Carrefour outside in Rumst. It’s much cheaper than the Carrefour inside Dreamville and sells alcoholic drinks (inside one doesn’t).
Inside Dreamville
Carrefour Supermarket – Full grocery store inside Dreamville but more expensive and no alcohol sales. Good for last-minute items.
Restaurants & Food Vendors – Multiple options throughout Dreamville. Food quality is generally excellent but festival prices apply.
BBQ Areas – Free to use! Buy meat at Carrefour and cook it yourself. Great way to save money and have fun.
Breakfast Options
Farmhouse Breakfast (Magnificent Greens guests) – Buffet where you can go up multiple times during your timeslot. Worth getting!
Montagoe Breakfast – Superior food and options compared to Farmhouse. You can only go once but can stack your plate high. This breakfast is excellent and worth the money. Only available to Montagoe guests.
Easy Tent Breakfast – Less extensive. Consider buying Farmhouse breakfast instead for better value.
Pro tip: If you have Global Journey, leave early (before 10 AM) on Monday for shorter departure lines. Lines get busier closer to noon.
Thursday Pre-parties at Tomorrowland
Many Tomorrowland tickets also include access to the pre-parties on each Thursday before the festival. While all of Dreamville can access The Gathering (with any type of Dreamville ticket), only selected hotel and global journey packages get access to Invite Brussels.
The Gathering: For Dreamville Guests
The Gathering is the Thursday night pre-party exclusive to Dreamville residents. This alone is worth camping.
What to Expect:
- World-class DJ performances (past headliners: Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiësto, Charlotte De Witte, Sub Zero Project)
- The later acts are usually billed as ‘suprise guests’ and you don’t know who they are until they appear on stage
- Full festival production on The Gathering stage in Dreamville
- Essentially a 4th festival day
- Located in Magnificent Greens, accessible to all Dreamville guests
- Runs for nearly 12 hours with DJs throughout the day and into the night
Pro Tip: You can bring your own drinks to The Gathering since it’s inside Dreamville. Save money on expensive festival drinks!
Invite Brussels: For Hotel & Global Journey Guests
If you’re staying in a hotel rather than camping at Dreamville, you’ll have access to Invite Brussels instead of The Gathering. This is Thursday before the festival starts and is the pre-party for hotel guests and Global Journey travelers.
Who Can Attend: Global Journey travelers arriving before Friday who are staying in a hostel or hotel in Brussels. Some hotel packages also include access. According to Tomorrowland: “Global Journey travellers who arrive before Friday and are staying in a hostel or hotel in Brussels can go to Invited Brussels.”
The Experience:
- More chill and relaxed atmosphere compared to The Gathering
- Runs for approximately 6 hours (much shorter than The Gathering’s nearly 12-hour duration)
- DJ performances (generally not as big-name as The Gathering headliners)
- Food trucks and drink stations set up throughout the venue
- Located in Brussels city center
Key Advantages:
- Buy Tomorrowland merchandise before the festival starts – Several merch stands are set up, giving you first access to official gear
- Pay with regular euros – Unlike Tomorrowland and Dreamville where you need pearls, Invite Brussels accepts normal currency
- Free entry if you have Global Journey or qualifying hotel packages
Transportation:
- You generally need to make your own way there and back
- Belgian Journey Tomorrowland package holders get drop-off service included
- It’s in Brussels city center, so accessible by public transport or taxi
The Reality: While Invite Brussels is a fun pre-party and great for getting merch early, it doesn’t compare to The Gathering experience. The Gathering has bigger DJs, runs much longer, is at the actual festival grounds with full Tomorrowland production, and you can bring your own drinks. This is one of the main reasons we always recommend camping at Dreamville for first-timers—The Gathering is truly special.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Rent a locker for your valuables, passport, and other important items.

Learn more about security considerations in our Dreamville camping guide.
Getting Around
Walking Distances to Festival
From Montagoe: 10-15 minutes
From Easy Tents: 20-30 minutes
From Magnificent Greens: 30-50 minutes (depending on tent location)
Strategy for Magnificent Greens: If you arrive early Thursday and position yourself near the front of the entrance line, aim for the Orange District near Entrance 1. Over three days, being closer to the festival saves significant time and energy.
Inside Tomorrowland
- The festival grounds are massive
- Wooden walkways throughout to minimize mud
- Multiple stages spread across the grounds
- Main stage is central, other stages require walking
Exiting the Festival
Two separate entrances:
- Dreamville entrance (closer to main stage)
- General entrance (for hotel guests and day tickets)
End of Night: If you’re at main stage when the last DJ finishes at 1 AM, Dreamville exit is much closer. Hotel guests must walk 20-40 minutes to their exit through crowds.
Shuttles from Dreamville
Start running from 2 AM after the festival finishes Sunday at midnight. Service continues on Monday morning for departures from Tomorrowland.
Departure Planning
Monday Checkout
Dreamville: Must vacate by 12 PM (noon)
Hotels: Must vacate by checkout time (unless you booked for extra nights after Tomorrowland – highly advised!)
Be prepared: Pack up tent and gear, deal with potentially muddy equipment, then get to trains/shuttles/airport
Post-Festival Travel Advice
DON’T: Fly across the world immediately. You’ll be exhausted, and it’s a brutal end that worsens the post-Tomorrowland comedown.
DO: Book a hotel in nearby cities (Brussels, Antwerp, Paris, Amsterdam) for 1-2 nights. Rest, shower properly, sleep in a real bed, then continue your journey refreshed.
Why: After four days of festival exhaustion and Monday morning packing, the last thing you want is a 10+ hour flight or a flight with multiple layovers. Give yourself recovery time to sleep, eat and recharge.
Our best tip: book a hotel in Brussels for 1-2 nights after Tomorrowland. There’s no pressure to catch flights, trains or busses so no danger of missing your onward transport.
Recommended Recovery Hotels
After three exhausting days at Tomorrowland, book a hotel nearby to rest and recover before continuing your travels:
Brussels (30 mins from Tomorrowland):
We think the best hotels are near Brussels Central station or Brussels Midi (south) station for the best transport links.
- The Hoxton Brussels – Stylish boutique hotel with excellent restaurant and rooftop bar
- Pillows City Hotel Brussels Centre – Luxury comfort in the heart of Brussels
- Motel One Brussels – Budget-friendly with surprisingly great design
- The Standard Brussels – Hip, modern hotel perfect for the post-festival vibe
Amsterdam (2 hours from Brussels):
Further away from Tomorrowland, but Amsterdam often has better flight connections from Schiphol airport, especially to the rest of Europe – something to factor in for your onward travel after Tomorrowland.
- Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam – Tropical resort feel with stunning waterfront location, relaxing pool & spa and amazing free breakfast buffet included with every room
- The Hoxton Amsterdam – Canal-side charm in a beautifully restored building
- DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station – Reliable comfort right at the train station, perfect for easy connections
Pro tip: Book 1-2 nights to fully recovery. A real bed, hot shower, and proper rest make a huge difference before traveling home.
Global Journey Departure Timing
- Lines to leave Dreamville get busier closer to noon. Leave early if you have a flight to catch.
- If you have an early train (before 2 PM), factor in 2-3 hours to exit Dreamville and get to Brussels Midi station
- Or leave before 9 AM for shorter lines
For more details on transportation logistics, see our camping vs hotels comparison.

Final Thoughts
Tomorrowland is unlike any other festival in the world. The production, the people, the music, and especially the Dreamville experience create memories that last a lifetime.
The first time at Tomorrowland will be overwhelming in the best way possible. You’ll be tired, possibly muddy, definitely exhausted – but you’ll also have the time of your life. The friends you make, the sunrises you witness, the moments of pure joy on the dancefloor – this is what Tomorrowland is all about.
Most Important Advice: Camp in Dreamville, embrace whatever weather Belgium throws at you, make friends with everyone around you, and live every moment fully. Don’t stress about perfect plans – the magic of Tomorrowland is often in the unplanned moments.
