Best Places In Whistler To Watch Sports & The Superbowl
Tapley’s Neighborhood Pub
The first choice for many to watch the big game, or indeed any sporting event in town, Tapley’s Neighborhood Pub is the first place you should think of when you think of watching sport in Whistler. With flatscreen TVs plastered all over the inside and outside of the pub, Tapley’s is for sure the best place to watch the game. With the sound on and the great atmosphere, cheer your team to victory with some of the cheaper drink prices in town and a staple of pub food to go with it all.
Note that there is a high probability that Tapley’s will get to capacity for the game and will stop letting people in once they are full. They also do not generally take table reservations – it is mostly walk in only. To ensure a table and the best spot we recommend getting there early. An hour or two before kick-off should be enough to get you in. Tables are also limited and will go very quickly, and it will be standing room only once they fill up. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Longhorn Saloon
The number one après bar in Whistler is another good spot to watch the game. Though they don’t have as many TVs as Tapley’s, The Longhorn Saloon still does provide a vantage point to see a TV from anywhere inside or out. Often they will also have DJs as part of the normal après vibe and plenty of atmosphere, as well as pub fare. For those just coming down off the ski mountain and looking for a place to watch the Superbowl, this is a great option.
The Longhorn occasionally also have a large outdoor flatscreen set up at the end of the outdoor patio for all to see. With this huge screen outside you’re sure to catch all the action.
Note there are generally cover charges for tables outside on busy days like weekends – you can sometimes avoid this by asking for one without cover or for the tables inside (not always a guarantee though).
Brandy’s At The Keg
A great indoor sports bar, Brandy’s at The Keg is the casual sports pub area of The Keg Steakhouse + Bar, located in the Whistler Village Inn & Suites hotel building. With a huge projector screen in the middle plus multiple smaller flatscreen TVs around the bar, Brandy’s is an excellent place to watch any live sporting event.
Their usual happy hour runs until 6pm so you can get some cheap beer and food from their happy hour menu while watching the big game here. While it doesn’t usually fill up as quickly as the previous two on this list, it will still be expected to be mostly full by kick off time (3:30pm).
Doors open at 2:00pm and they have closed their reservation book now so come early to avoid disappointment (we’d recommend arriving at or before opening time).
The Brewhouse
Further down the village stroll, The Brewhouse is located next to the Olympic Rings at the Olympic Plaza. Boasting the largest restaurant in Whistler, The Brewhouse also has a pub/bar for walk in seating and casual drinks. With a large screen protector and four beers brewed on site, it is a great place to watch the Superbowl.
The pub at The Brewhouse also offers casual food and dining, such as pizzas, burgers and wings, making it a great location to watch any sporting event. Don’t expect a rowdy crowd like that at Tapley’s or Longhorn though – The Brewhouse will be a bit quieter, perfect for anyone looking for something a little tamer and for families.
Roland’s Pub
Outside of the main Whistler Village, your options for watching the Superbowl more limited. If you’re staying at or near Creekside, your main options are Roland’s Pub or Dusty’s at the base of the creekside gondola.
Roland’s is more of a local’s scene than Dusty’s, meaning cheaper food and drinks. An old-fashioned sports pub vibe, Roland’s has been serving customers in its original form since 1975, making it a staple of the Creekside area.
With sports memorabilia adorning the walls and a great pub menu to boot (try the beef dip!), it’s one of the best places in Creekside to watch the Superbowl.
Check out their website & food menu here.
GLC (Garibaldi Lift Co.)
If you want to watch the game with a view, the Garibaldi Lift Co. — or GLC as the locals affectionally call it — is hard to beat. Sitting above Skier’s Plaza right at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola, it’s one of the most iconic après spots in town and has a great setup for catching live sport. The vibe is a step up from your typical pub — think signature cocktails, fire pits and a heated patio — but it’s still relaxed and fun, not stuffy.
It’s a popular spot on game day with a few TVs inside plus a large projector screen so we’d recommend grabbing a table early or making a reservation if you can. The food is solid too — nachos, burgers and poutine are all worth a crack — so you can make a proper afternoon of it without having to move.
Check out their website and make a reservation here.
Places to Skip (Or At Least Think Twice About)
Not every bar in Whistler is set up for watching sport, and on a big game day the last thing you want is to be stuck in the back corner squinting at a tiny screen with no sound. We’ve put together a quick list of spots that come up a lot but probably aren’t your best bet for the Superbowl:
Dubh Linn Gate
Whistler’s Irish pub is a fun spot for a pint on a regular night, but it’s not really a sports bar. There are only one or two TVs tucked away in certain spots and they don’t always have the sound on. If you end up here, you might catch a glimpse of the game, but you’re not going to get the full experience. Save it for after the game.
Mallard Lounge (The Fairmont Chateau Whistler)
The Mallard is a nice, refined lounge inside the Fairmont, but it’s not set up for big sporting events. There are only a handful of small TVs and the layout isn’t really designed for a crowd gathering around the game. It’s more of a quiet drinks spot than a football bar — so if you’re after atmosphere and a proper setup, head somewhere else on the list above.
Who Is Playing At Halftime In Superbowl 60?
This year, the halftime entertainment is scheduled to be Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap artist Bad Bunny. This is his first time performing at the Super Bowl so make sure you catch the show! Other mystery guests are a strong possibility as well as we have seen in past Superbowls!
The whole show will be broadcast on NBC in USA, and on CTV and TSN in Canada.
Final Tips
Many places in Whistler will be showing the Superbowl, however not all are created equal. Some, like the above list, offer great TVs, sound and great atmosphere in which to see the final. Other venues, like the Irish pub Dubh Linn Gate, only have a couple of TVs in certain locations and may not even play the sound (they are not known as a sports bar). If you’re looking for somewhere to watch with fellow football lovers, start with this list – but don’t be afraid to branch off and explore other places if you dare!
Superbowl LX between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will kick-off from Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco (Home of the 49ers) at 3:30pm on February 8th, 2026 (Whistler time), live on NBC in the USA and simulcast on TSN and CTV in Canada.
Enjoy the game!
