How it all started

After years of traveling the world and experiencing over 60 countries, we often became the go-to travel advisors among our friends. Whether it was recommending the best hotels, must-visit attractions, or sharing insider tips on getting great travel deals, we found ourselves constantly offering advice.

Realizing that our experiences could help more than just our closest friends, we decided to put our insights into writing. Refined Trails was born out of a love for travel and a passion for curating guides, reviews, and recommendations to make exploring the world easier, more enjoyable, and more inspiring for others.

FAQ

Beach destinations and hot weather are usually our favorite spots. The most fun we have had has been in Fiji, Italy, Belgium and Vietnam.

Flying to Europe and often through London, we have a great appreciation for British Airways and often fly them between North America and the United Kingdom. We’re also big fans of Emirates, Qatar Airways and Air New Zealand.

There is a lot of value in some airline frequent flyer programs, so loyalty counts! For this reason we also choose to fly Air Canada and Qantas for their frequent flyer programs.

Our blog started in 2022 as we emerged back into travel after the pandemic years. Since then we have expanded our horizons and our blog posts to locations and vacations all around the world.
